The First National Ultrasound Medicine Youth Academic Forum of the Chinese Medical Association and the 2023 Shenzhen Ultrasound Medicine Annual Meeting

On 23rd April, "The First National Ultrasound Medicine Youth Forum of Chinese Medical Association and the 2023 Shenzhen Ultrasound Medicine Annual Conference" was concluded in Shenzhen. This conference is the first youth forum of CMA Ultrasound Medicine Branch and one of the key academic activities of CMA Ultrasound Medicine Branch in 2023, which attracted the attention and participation of many experts and scholars in the field of ultrasound medicine around the world, with a total of more than 1600 participants.

The meeting was hosted by Chinese Medical Association and Chinese Medical Association Ultrasound Medical Branch, organised by Guangdong Medical Association and Shenzhen Medical Association, and co-organised by Shenzhen People's Hospital, with Prof. Liang Ping, Chairman of Chinese Medical Association Ultrasound Medical Branch as the Chairman, and Xu Jinfeng, Member of Chinese Medical Association Ultrasound Branch and Chairman of Ultrasound Specialized Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association, as the Executive Chairman.
The conference covered popular contents such as clinical problems, basic research, scientific research privatisation, and results transformation, highlighting the intersection of medicine and industry, new ultrasound technology, new clinical methods, and new ideas in scientific research, including 2 academician reports, 6 congress reports, 8 invited reports, 45 special reports, and 222 paper presentations.

At the meeting, Academician Xie Heping, Academician Zhang Yun, the current chairman and chairman-elect of the Ultrasound Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, all the vice-chairmen and members, and a number of famous ultrasound experts and scholars from home and abroad exchanged views and interacted with young ultrasonographers.
The opening ceremony was opened by a touching video, a photo reproduces the youth of ultrasound people in the prime of life, the struggle of the thorns and thorns, a frame of images to restore the dedication of the medical practitioners to adhere to the spirit of remorselessness. Generations of ultrasound people's hard work, relay forward, the achievement of China's ultrasound from scratch, from follow to lead.
At the opening ceremony, the Chinese Medical Association ultrasound medicine branch of supersonic rising star talent pool launching ceremony was held. "Ultrasound Talent Pool" is initiated by the Ultrasound Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, China International Medical Exchange Foundation funded the first Superman Rising Star Research Fund project, which aims to provide excellent young scholars in the field of ultrasound research in China with a stage to "show their talents". The first Superman Rising Star Research Fund project is designed to provide a stage for outstanding young scholars in the field of ultrasound research in China. Through this programme, young people will be encouraged to improve their scientific research ability, cultivate their scientific research thinking, support the projects of young researchers, explore the new direction of ultrasound diagnosis and treatment, and contribute to the development of China's ultrasound medicine. Afterwards, the congress held a grand book launch of Ultrasound Medicine (Fifth Edition).

Ultrasound Teaching Innovation and Excellence Competition, "Youth Thinking of the Future" English Competition, "Supernova" First Superman Rising Star Talent Show, "Ultrasound+" Cross-Fusion Forum, "Ultrasound+" Cross-Fusion Forum, "Ultrasound+" Cross-Fusion Forum, "Ultrasound+" Cross-Fusion Forum, "Ultrasound+" Cross-Fusion Competition "Cross-Integration Forum, Superman Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop, Youth Free Speech and "Embrace the Greater Bay Area - Innovate Superman Together" large-scale scientific publicity activities.
The conference is rich in content and novel in format, emphasising "wide communication, high interaction, strong practice and deep thinking". In addition to traditional academic exchanges, the conference also includes round-table discussions, joint workshops between academics and enterprises, brainstorming group discussions, as well as on-site debates, public service publicity activities on foot and other novel forms, with academic topics covering multidisciplinary collaboration, Academic topics covered multidisciplinary collaboration, teaching innovation, continuous career development planning for doctors, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and other current hot topics of concern to physicians.

Professor Tian Jie from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zheng Hairong from Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Guo Liping from School of Humanities, Peking University School of Medicine, Professor Qi Wen'an from Journal of Chinese Medical Association, Professor Yu Huanxin from Peking University School of Medicine, Professor Max Diaz from Hong Kong Polytechnic University will also give lectures at the conference.
The "Light of the Bay Area" is the annual meeting of the Shenzhen Ultrasound Society, and Professor Xu Jinfeng, Chairman of the Ultrasound Committee of the Shenzhen Medical Association, delivered a keynote speech. The Light of the Bay Area section focuses on medical-industrial crossover, explores new clinical methods, opens up new ideas for scientific research, breaks through new ultrasound technologies, integrates basic research results, and seeks to transform the results of the way to show the youthful vitality of the Shenzhen style.

The contestants of the "Eyes to Know and Beyond Wonderful" Young Elites Clinical Thinking Competition came from all over the world and competed in various ultrasound subspecialties such as abdominal, superficial, gynaecological and cardiac, etc. The competition focuses on the inspiration of clinical thinking, creates a platform for the combination of theory and practice, and provides young physicians with an opportunity to show themselves.
"The Ultrasound Teaching Innovation and Excellence Competition is mainly based on the "Master Teachers" and "Superman Classroom", aiming to improve the teaching ability of young and middle-aged ultrasound teachers, and promote the synergy between medical education and research. The competition aims to improve the teaching ability of young and middle-aged ultrasound teachers and to promote the construction of the ultrasound discipline with the synergistic development of medical education and research.
More than 20 young doctors from different hospitals participated in the "Youth Thinking of the Future" English Competition. They thought about the future direction and technological innovation of ultrasound medicine in the areas of fetal ultrasound, ultrasonography, remote ultrasound, ultrasound therapy and molecular imaging, which fully demonstrated the young doctors' sense of innovation and spirit of exploration.
The "Ultrasound+" Cross-Integration Forum, which brings together experts from science and engineering cross-disciplines and ultrasound disciplines, aims to promote the creation of a platform for medical-industrial integration, enhance the innovative research and development of new ultrasound technologies and equipment, and explore the prospects for the application of ultrasound molecular diagnostic and treatment integration.
The "Creators - Smart Future" Ultrasound Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop creates a stage for young physicians to show their innovative technologies, invites famous domestic enterprises and experts to get together, discusses in-depth issues related to intellectual property rights transfer and open licensing, and actively puts them into practice, so as to build up a platform to help the ultrasound industry realise the transformation and licensing of intellectual property rights.
In the first "Supernova" module, 15 young talents from the domestic ultrasound field presented their latest research results, including new ultrasound imaging technologies, ultrasound artificial intelligence and nanomedicine.
The Research Methodology Forum invites domestic ultrasound researchers to give academic lectures, including researchers in specialised fields to share their latest research results in the field of ultrasound medicine.
In the Youth Free Speech Module, senior ultrasound experts and members of the Youth Committee were invited to discuss and review special cases, retrospective studies and basic research in various subspecialties of ultrasound with young doctors, which provided new inspirations to promote the cause of ultrasound medicine to a new level.

One of the highlights of the event was the "Embracing the Greater Bay Area - Creating a New Ultrasound Man Together" large-scale public service activity held in the afternoon of the 22nd. Ultrasound doctors no longer sit mysteriously in their own clinics, but went out to the public to enhance the public's knowledge and understanding of ultrasound medicine.
On that day, outstanding representatives from the ultrasound industry and the majority of young ultrasonographers gathered, a total of more than 30 ultrasound experts, more than 140 young ultrasonographers from across the country to hike the Shenzhen Bay. Along the way, they used their professional knowledge and practical experience to introduce to the public the basic principles of ultrasound medicine, clinical applications, as well as the precautions to be taken to receive the examination, etc., at the same time, live release of nine public service popularisation video, warmly welcomed by the general public and praised. Along the way spring rain, young and old ultrasonographers put on a colourful mackintosh, became a bright rainbow in Shenzhen Bay.
Through this activity, the general public not only understood the basic knowledge of ultrasound medicine, but also felt the contribution and significance of ultrasound medicine to human health. At the end of the "Science Publicity Walk", the General Assembly presented awards to the outstanding members of the activity.
